Jazz was a way for people nationwide to express themselves. No matter their race, their background, or who they were as a person, jazz touched everyone and certainly turned America around.

Jazz in the 1920's was a major movement. Not only did it change how people viewed music in America, it changed how people lived their lives. In the beginning of the Jazz Age, America was riddled with restrictions. America was stuck in prohibition and organized crime was abundant throughout the country. However, in this time of crisis, jazz arose and turned everything around. In a time when music was simply for entertainment, jazz music evolved into a passion.
