Why is jazz such a big deal?
Jazz changed the way the United States viewed entertainment, music and even culture. Jazz was turned into a mutual passion that everyone could relate to and enjoy. The nation was painfully conservative, and forced to follow rules such as the act of Prohibition during the twenties. Having jazz was truly a blessing, giving the country a way to express itself and unite, no matter who the people were connecting with. The music brought the people together, resulting in the country ultimately progressing socially, musically and culturally.
